I found it cute.Īll in all, I couldn’t say that I really enjoyed it as in really enjoyed it. The plot, which was the first thing I was looking for in a book, was so ordinary. I liked how he was a studious guy but felt ecstatic when he had the chance to skip class. He was the hot genius guy from the book who was hiding some dark secret. But saying right then and there that he was your soulmate and your destiny or something, if I were Sky, I would just slap her and ran away from that person. I understood that part, okay? It was hard to see your soulmate with the things that your family had been going through. It was too sudden that he was already stalking Sky when he discovered that she’s his soulmate. I couldn’t feel his manliness, I mean, the sweet part of his character. This was the first time I got annoyed with a main lead. It wasn’t mine! I would immediately think something was happening especially when I already received threats before this.Īnd Zed, honestly, I didn’t like his character. I mean, who on their right minds would accept that? Even I, if someone told me that I had my picture on it would just ignore it.

That scene where a stranger handed her a bag which was not hers made me want to smack and scold her. That lessen the excitement while reading. When she was kidnapped, I thought that it would be the same scenario as what I had been reading. Sky learned how to accept Zed when it was too late for them. And just like what I’d said, it was so cheesy to the point of… I don’t know… frustration? I could understand the immediate connection between the two - even though Sky wouldn’t accept it right then. I didn’t mean to offend fans of this book but that’s just how I feel.īut what’s amazing about the story was the unique connection between the two of them. I just thought that, maybe it lacked the originality or such. The story reminded me of twilight wherein Sky was the new girl who saw Zed and the story went on.

I didn’t know if it was just me but the story was so cheesy. Either way was fine.īut something made me decrease my rating with the book. I couldn’t help myself but anticipate the moment they see each other either they’re going to argue or not. It was a mixture of excitement and giddiness when Sky and Zed would meet. Then he met Zed, the youngest son of Saul and Karla Benedict. She wanted to be their real daughter that it hurt her seeing them happy even without her. They treated her like their own child and Sky was glad about it. She wanted to forget her dark past and live and happy life with her adoptive parents, Sally and Simon Bright. Sky Bright lived her life hiding from her past. Sky must face the dark even if it means losing her heart. Dark shadows stalk her past but a new evil threatens her future.
